All the fitness magazines say spot fat reduction is a myth Reducing your overall body fat %, fine, however  losing that lower belly - and nothing else or the annoying cellulite on the back of the thighs. It’s just not possible, or is it? Advancements in exercise endocrinology may be giving personal trainers new tools for reducing specific fat storage. The system is called Biosignature Modulation. Biosignature Modulation is a scientific approach to spot reduction of body fat and developed by Charles Poliquin from over 20 years of research. Based on Charles testing the reason so many people have stubborn problem areas is due to  imbalances in their body biochemistry, in particular with hormones. Hormones can be responsible for unwanted fat.

Here’s how it works: 12 body fat sites can be quickly and accurately tested, measurements are then compared to triceps reading and this identifies which area or areas have excessive level of fat relative to the other sites. Once the test is analysed a specific protocol of diet, exercise, and supplementation to resolve the problem can be established.

For example: If there is a problem with shoulder blades and hips then insulin levels are of concern and can affect your ability to handle carbohydrates. A weight training protocol would be a more effective exercise choice to combat our love handles. Although the system is in a constant state of growth, we can effectively combat specific areas of fat storage based on a client’s individual biochemistry.
