Vitality Pilates


After several visits to the Sunshine Coast in 2008 myself and Dave (my husband) decided that we had found a slice of paradise where we wanted to bring our kids up.  In July 2009 we relocated from Wellington, New Zealand to the Sunshine Coast.

After completing a Physical Education degree and a BA in Psychology at Otago University I began working in the fitness industry and developed a strong passion for group fitness.

Over the next few years I become a physical trainer within the New Zealand Police and also became a senior lecturer in physiology and group fitness instruction at The Wellington Institute of Technology. 

The following years were filled with everything to do with group fitness and I took on full time role completely devoting myself to group fitness.  My roles involved working with large gym chains training instructors, running workshops, programme choreography and also competing at the New Zealand Aerobic Championships.

Pilates hit New Zealand and Australia in the early 2000s and I was quick to qualify and begin to teach in this new exciting field.  I found that Pilates challenged me in areas that needed to be stronger.  While I looked strong on the outside, my core strength was weak and my posture was bad.  Pilates taught me so much about how to improve my own body that I became hooked and here I am now.

I have now been in the fitness industry for over 20 years and I am still actively involved in all areas of group fitness.  With Pilates, I am privileged to have found a form of exercise that is challenging and achievable to all clients.
