7 Steps to Skyrocket Your Success

..Have you ever wondered why some people are more successful than others?  Did you think they were born with something different to you?  Well, asthma the fact is they probably weren’t.  So, ampoule if you want to get better results, try out these 7 Steps to Skyrocket Your Success!

 

STEP 1

Stop and ask WHAT...  What do you really want to do in life and with your life?  Funny how the impetus to change something in our lives often only comes in times of crisis. You read the newspaper and see how a near death experience was the catalyst for someone quitting their 9 – 5 job and taking off round the world, or a brush with cancer was the impetus for  someone to finally launch their own business! What excites you and what scares you a little bit?  What have you always wanted to do but didn’t dare?  Ask yourself what you would d o if money was no object? What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail or if you only had six months to live? The bigger you dream the more you will expand your mind and step outside your current comfort zone. Write it all down. Now then, is what you have written down totally different to anything you are doing in your life right now?  Chances are if they are, then you are not living your life to the fullest and at some level you will be unfulfilled. Imagine yourself having completed one or more of these things and hold onto the feeling.”  How does that feel? Everything first starts in the mind and as Albert Einstein said “What you can imagine you can create.”

STEP 2

Write it down… Now that you have some idea of what you want, pick two or three things from your list, decide they will be your goals and commit to making them happen. Make sure you write them down. It has been shown on numerous occasions that people who write their goals down always achieve more in their life. In one study, it was shown that those who had clearly written goals earned ten times more than those who had no clear goals. If you don’t write them down, your goals will remain just dreams. Make sure they are clear and precise, realistic c to you, as if now and have a time limit on them. Consider them to be another project and add them onto your “to do list”. Just like when you have to get that birthday card or get the groceries or do the washing. You find a way to just do it. The more you add your goals to your to do lists, the more your brain considers them to be quite normal and part of every day life!

 STEP 3

 Believe. “The outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to reflect their inner beliefs”   -James Allen.

You must believe you can accomplish what you want. Without that belief in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to truly believe in what you are doing? Start imagining that you believe you can do this. Feel how you will feel when you have achieved it!

Ask yourself the question “Do I believe I can achieve this?”  Listen and notice what comes up. You may have a negative voice, picture or feeling. You need to clear out these roadblocks. You are the only person in your way because it all starts with you!

 Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to start loosening up any limiting beliefs you may have.

 What will happen if I do….?

What will happen if I don’t…?

What won’t happen if I do…?

What won’t happen if I don’t…?

STEP 4

 Action. An inch of action is worth a ton of theory! If you don’t take action nothing will happen. Think of compound interest here. Just one small step every day will compound to a huge distance over a year! Remember that a journey of a thousand miles begins with one small step.  If you find it hard to get started then get out a piece of paper, and work backwards from the end result. This will help you to see the path to the end step more clearly .Share your goals with others and find someone to keep you accountable. Plan the steps necessary and diarise them. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Make sure you reward yourself along the way as this will help you stay focused and increase the likelihood of your success.  Just like a snowball, which starts with a snowflake, it soon gathers momentum and gets bigger.  Soon you too will have your own avalanche of success!

STEP 5

 Courage. “He who loses wealth loses much; he who loses a friend loses more; but he that loses his courage loses all.” Michael De Cervantes.  You will need courage when you hit a rock in the road. Know that you only come across rocks and obstacles when you are moving forward. Take these rocks to mean you are progressing towards what you want. Fear is the biggest stopper of people’s dreams and goals. The only difference between successful people and tho se who aren’t is successful people step through the illusion of fear.  Learn to step through the false veil of illusion/fear into courage, because it probably won’t be as scary as you imagined or thought it to be!  Know that your comfort zone is a dangerous place to live. To build your muscle of courage, set yourself small challenges at first. This builds momentum as well as courage, self esteem and personal power!

 STEP 6

 Persistence. “Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Mario Andretti, racing car driver. In an address by Churchill, he once said “Never ever give up, never ever give up, never give up, never give up.” After looking at the audience for a few seconds, he walked off the stage and still received his usual standing ovation!  Whoever persists is sure to succeed!  There is a Law of Persistence which really, just means never quit! If you keep going, you will have to achieve what you want!  This is what makes successful people who they are. They keep going until they succeed. They don’t see failure as feedback, learn from it and try again! Think of Edison and the light bulb

STEP 7

Fun and Gratitude So, you’ve nearly made it. Have you implemented and committed to the six steps? There is only last step and that is to make sure you have fun along the way. Life is supposed to be fun isn’t it?  Learn to be flexible, see the other side and learn from your mistakes. Take it all as feedback. Take time out to connect with others and lastly, be, be grateful for what you have in your life. As human beings we tend to judge and compare ourselves to others.  Take a moment every day to reflect upon five things in your life that you are grateful for. Even better, write them down and recall them before you go to bed each night.
